The Essendi group’s establishments called on ATIM and IZHO to implement a connected indoor comfort monitoring solution.
The goal: to offer optimal comfort to customers while controlling energy consumption and preventing technical issues.
The partnership combines two complementary areas of expertise:
ATIM : design and manufacture of reliable IoT sensors that continuously measure temperature and humidity.
IZHO : collection, processing, and analysis of data via an intuitive cloud platform, enabling the measurements to be used to efficiently control the facilities.
This project has achieved concrete results :

❓Why was this project launched ?
"Since 2019, we have been supporting ESSENDI (formerly ACCOR INVEST) in the development of their energy consumption monitoring system.
The goal was to modernize an existing tool by combining :
- the use of historical data,
- the deployment of IoT technologies in hotels,
- and the ability to supplement data with manual entry.
This approach made it possible to build a more modern, scalable solution tailored to the group's needs."
❓What convinced you to choose ATIM solutions ?
"Several factors were decisive:
- the fact that we were working with a French company,
- a close relationship and high-quality support,
- and a wide range of products catering to a multitude of uses."
❓How many hotels have been equipped to date ?
“Today, 450 hotels are equipped.”
❓Do you have any information about ROI and energy savings?
"In 2024, ESSENDI achieved -6-7% savings in energy consumption compared to 2023, savings attributed to the RECAP project.
These gains have covered the entire cost of the IZHO project since 2019 in a single year and point to a sustainable ROI: even without further reductions in the future, the group would continue to strengthen the profitability of its investment based on the reductions already achieved."
❓Beyond energy savings, have you seen any other benefits ?
"We have seen real improvements in maintenance and technical monitoring.
In terms of CSR, ESSENDI is now recognized as a leading player in the hotel industry."
